Society for Health Awareness and Rural Enlightenment (SHARE) Ngo is working with Kailash Satyarthi Childrens Foundation US On the issues of Child marriages, Child Labour and Child Trafficking and Child Sexual abuse in the theme of” Access to Justice for All “. SHARE is working in 50 villages (GP’s) and doing awareness programmes and taking pledges against child marriages in schools and colleges of mahabubabad District and at the community level.
Kailash Satyarthi has been a tireless advocate of children’s rights for over three decades. In 2014, he was jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for “struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education.”
The Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation US is dedicated to eradicating child labour and child exploitation by educating and mobilizing the public, engaging the private sector to prioritize children in their business models, building capacity of partners on the ground and advocating for the protection of children in national and international policies.
Community Awareness: awareness sessions will be organized in the villages on the issues and negative consequences of doing child marriages, child trafficking and child sexual abuse. These awareness sessions will be organized through community level meetings, kalajatha performances, social media, convergence meetings and poster campaigns.
School and College level meetings: These meetings will be organized in every school and college in the targeted locations on a quarterly basis to create an awareness and understanding among the children and young people on the POCSO Act – 2012, and Adolescence age problems and counselling about good sense and bad sense and the issues which are happening now a days such Human trafficking in many ways.
June -12 World Day against child labour programme:World day against child labour was conducted at Chinnagududru village with community people, in that meeting CWC Chairperson, CCI Ci sir, village sarpanch, secretary and Barosa team, and ChildLine team and village community people were participated in that programme. And discussed about child labour act and sections under the act and the importance of education.
Child marriage free India campaign:Campaign has been conducted on child marriages and did candlelight walks and slogans on child marriages and child abuse in villages in the evening times when community people was available and taken pledges against child marriages with them. And given awareness on child related issues and the acts and sections which are working on child marriages and the punishments under child marriage act – 2006 and imprisonments under this act.
Operation Muskan:Operation Mushkan programme which was conducted in July month to
find out child labours and school dropouts by searching in Hotspot areas such as
Automobile/Transport, Bakery, Brick kilns &Roof tiles units, Building & constructions,
cracker industry, factories, footwear, curtain making unit, jewellery, hotel/Dhaba, and other
odd jobs.
And find out the children who are working as child labours and given counselling to those
children and their parents and rejoin/Enrol the children in schools and given shelter to those
children in Hostels.
5.“October – 16 campaign on child marriage free India”:programme conducted at IDOC (collector office) with all Line departments and discussed about chid marriages and its consequences and the roles and responsibilities of all then departments in ending child marriages, and gifts distribution to school children who are participated in Essay writing and quiz competition on child marriages.
Usage of mobile van with the voice of against child marriages and said by SHARE NGO, said by Kailash Satyarthi children’s foundation US in the presence of Women and child development Department in all villages the mobile van said the voice and given awareness on child marriages, child labour and child sexual abuse. And did candlelight in the evening times on child marriages and taken pledges against child marriages with village AWT, VOA and village people.
On 11 th October occasion of international girl child day, we have celebrated programme at govt junior collage for girls and conducted cultural programmes for girls and discussed about girls issues like child marriages, child labour and child sexual abuse issues and good touch and bad touch to girls and adolescence problems and taken pledge against child marriages with girls and school teachers and with all line departments.
Campaign was Conducted in January month to find out child labour and school dropouts in mahabubabad district mandals, in shops, construction areas, and bricks and hotels and in mechanic shops and find out 46 members child labours and produced them in front of CWC then given shelter and joined in schools.
State level campaign on child labour rescue and rehabilitation and follow up status and given guidelines by the state team on rescue operations.
Campaign and convergence meetings was conducted in village level and explained about child marriages and child trafficking and child sexual abuse with all line departments.
Child marriage free village declaration meetings was conducted in selected 50 Villages and declared that villages as child marriage free in the presence of Village Sarpanch, Panchayat secretary, AWT, Asha workers and VOAs, and with village elders.
Let’s march to school campaign was done in all selected schools of 50 villages and taken school drop out details and did home visits and given counselling to those children and rejoin them schools as part of let’s march to school campaign.
Vulnerability mapping survey on vulnerable families and explained about government schemes and linkage with government schemes and explain the benefits of the schemes.
